Indie's room is painted a dark grey with pure white ceilings, trim and furniture. We chose this colour scheme because we thought it would grow well with her. We can change the accent colour which is currently pale pink to anything she likes as she gets older and used removable cloud wall decals from eBay on the wall. Her cotbed is from the Mamas and Papas Vico Range and I use pink curver boxes and a grey and white linen bin from BHS either side for storage of extra toys and teddies. |
I printed these images that I found on the internet and framed them using simple white frames from Matalan to create a little feature wall above her cot that can be changed at any time to suit. |
On top of her chest of drawers (part of the Mamas and Papas Vico Furniture Set) we keep Indie's little wooden dolls house, her touch egg lamp and a framed print. The three white porcelain swallows above are from a little independent shop on Plymouth Barbican. |
The majority of Indie's toys are scattered in other rooms around the house, so we keep a few of her favourites on her pink rug from Argos. Her little musical instruments are her favourite and we keep them in her white Lego storage box. |
I like to keep Indie's wardrobe pretty neat and organised so I can find things easily. Her clothes are hung in order from tops to cardigans then jumpers to dresses. I store her nappies and car seat in her wardrobe to keep as much floor space clear as possible for playtime. On the bottom shelf I keep her little shoes, spare bedding and a vintage suitcase full of family heirlooms to pass onto her when she is older. On top she has a collection of vintage classic Disney books that I bought when I was pregnant. Her wardrobe is part of the Mamas and Papas Vico Furniture Set.
