OUR WEEKEND - PRETTY ART, FATHERS DAY & HOMEMADE CHEESECAKE

This weekend has been lovely! Quiet, but good. On Saturday morning I received some very happy post from a lovely lady called Cheryl that I found through Instagram.

She has a lovely online shop where she sells illustrations. I contacted her and asked her to do a bespoke illustration for Indie's bedroom. She sent me a few drafted sketches to chose from but I couldn't decide, so bought both! I love them and can't wait to get them framed and put up somewhere.

We spent Saturday evening with my dad and his partner, much to Indie's delight (they're her favourite). Hubby cooked his soup duo; a yummy creamy Tomato, and a Butternut Squash and Red Pepper one. For dessert we all had homemade vanilla cheesecake. It was delicious!

Sunday was Fathers Day so we had a very lazy day. We spend the day lounging around, reminiscing and looking at photos from last Fathers Day. There is exactly a years difference between these next two photos. Some things never change...

I remember taking this photo last year and thinking how lucky I was. I really couldn't wish for a better father for Indie. Watching these two together makes me so happy. She loves him so much, and so do I.

What did you do to celebrate Fathers Day this year?

  3. Oh my word, Indie is adorable - and I love the year apart photos. They are so sweet.

Those illustrations are fab, no wonder you couldn't choose. I'm off to go and peak at the shop now. I will hold you responsible if I spend any money! ;)
