18 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE WITH BABY BOY

This week I have really felt my belly grow and stretch. I'm getting aches and pains left, right and centre and my back is starting to ache on a regular basis. I've dabbled in a bit of pregnancy yoga a couple of times and it has really helped ease the back pain so it's something I'm starting to look into a bit more.

This week I weighed myself after reading that at around 17 weeks the average weight gain is between 5-10lbs. I have gained 9lbs since the beginning of my pregnancy so I'm quite happy about being right on track.

It's crazy to think that the body can go through so many changes. Here is the difference that 10 weeks makes! 8 weeks on the left, 18 on the right.

I've got my 20 week scan in 10 days time so am really looking forward to seeing little man again. I've also got a consultant appointment straight after and am happy to think that I'll be getting a few of my questions answered with regards to VBAC and growth scans.

This week Indie has started to really notice that there is a baby in my belly. She will walk over and touch my belly whilst saying 'gentle', it melts my heart. Her new favourite thing to do is to ask for a cuddle and then giggle when I struggle to lift her off bump a little.

Another week filled with loads of movement but still no big stand out kicks as of yet. I'm so excited to start feeling the kicks.

We've made loads of progress with little mans nursery this week and we've finally got some prints up on the walls. These four were all found on Pinterest and printed off by my lovely Dad.

Last but not least we have decided on a name for little man. Keep an eye out for a name reveal in the next few weeks.

  2. I feel you with the back pain! I've never tried pregnancy yoga, the problem for me would be finding the time to actually do it. Interested to hear your name choice too! #maternitymondays
